Whitby Gothic Weekends 1997
''The Double Act''
Come in from the cold and take off all those woolly jumpers you packed (we hope!), and sip a warming pint by the Elsinore fire!
Anyone who's anyone knows that Top Goth Halloween nights out belong with Sheffield's Epitaph...the famous 'Goth Tarts', headed by Ian and Cath, take over for the evening's entertainment, and we've still got three top bands to bewitch you...
There's a prize for the best Halloween fancy dress - and that doesn't mean coming as a goth or a vampire - use your head! (Whether on your shoulders or not is another matter!). Imaginative ideas needed for outfits that would frighten the pants off even the scariest goth amongst us all, and an extra prize for anyone who comes dressed as a fluffy pumpkin!
A second chance to buy stuff you wished you could afford in April! 40 stalls (many different from those in April!) for you to spend your hard earned cash on!
Collect a set of clues from the Information Stall at noon. There are ten pumpkins hidden around Whitby. Unravel the clues and find where they're hidden. The winners will be those who have collected the most pumpkins by 3pm. Winners will be announced in the foyer of the Spa at 3.30 p.m.
Dance til you drop at a night to remember, with two of our favourite bands and the now legendary DJ set.
Loads of time to dance yourself daft with infamous London DJs, Count Von Sexbat and Fluffy Chris.
So long! Farewell! Savour your last pint of Strongarm 'n' black for another year and we'll see you again in 1998...
